I really like it so far, especially the concept, but I’ve got one complaint to make… The art is very good but the panels are drawn too often with a character speaking but with their mouth closed. It’s just one really weird and irksome thing, and it sticks out because the art is otherwise of a high quality.
Hey! This is shaping up fantastic so far and is along the theme of one of my favorite subsets of fiction. I /love/ classic villain/minion dichotomies, and am always really interested in the minion’s view point on their ground level view of over the top worlds.
I don’t know whether this will span into super heroes, or action heroes, or what being on the other side of the coin, but it is currently centered exactly where I love it to be. Right on the little guys. The minions that no one ever really thinks about when tossing them off buildings…
Great art, solid writing from a fellow Texan. Looking forward to more!
found you with the banner ad on QC. Look great so far.
But you have a technical problem. Because you posted so many comics simultaneously on the first day your RSS feed is broken. You should move the comix 1-10 to feb-21 and leave comix 11-20 on feb-22 so that people who subscribe to the RSS feed get a working feed. or better yet blur them across all of feb. feb1=comic1. Having a working rss feed is really important. Most evil overlords (at least those of us in the Amalgamated Crooks and Overlords Union) use an rss reader like GoogleReader (because Google is the next deathstar, as we all know), and if it doesn’t work right, we’ll just assume you’re a chump (like your character olsen) and move on.
Thanks for the heads up – never used RSS myself and was trying to fix some issues with one of the plugins by doing them all on the same day – but I will go back and fiddle with it and I should be able to spread them out to different days and make it readable for RSS users.
I started to read it, and I like it, but 2 things: Constantly having to scroll up to get to the next page is really annoying, and issue #1 page #14 is not the same size as the others. >> Sorry for being such a lame-o.
I’ve read a lot of web-comics, A LOT, I guess you could say I go through web-comics like books, and this is really quality stuff. Keep up the good work, good humor too.
Nice artwork and story! However, doesn’t this concept borrow heavily from Venture Brothers? I’m surprised to not see it mentioned here. If you weren’t aware of the similarities, check out an ep or two. It’s a great show.
Great update! Things are getting interesting, though I am curious about Issue #2 Page #7, was that just an incidental “Twap” or did he successfully block a strike?
Still curious to see if the larger of the twiddle brothers is really going to be able to hold his own. I suppose the next few pages will reveal that either way! Can’t wait to see more. Great stuff!
Great comic so far. Can’t wait to see where this is going.
It reminds me of the 2008 comedy short (18 minutes) Expendable, by Wondermark. It’s the story of an out-of-work guy who gets a job as a low-level henchman at the evil organization A.R.A.C.H.N.I.D.
If you like Minion Comics, I think you’ll get a blast out of Expendable. I am not associated with Wondermark; I just think this is hilarious.
In Expendible, as part of his new employee orientation, the hero watches a training video on how to use an AK-47, with such pearls of wisdom as “With each new magazine you have 30 opportunities to ensure the safety of our facility.” An expanded 2 minute video clip is posted at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59nY7XeGp_w
Do you have Gravatar’s disabled? Not like people really need to see our mugs or anything, I am just curious. I have a Gravatar but it never seems to show here despite linking to it on the name line.
Fixed that – they were enabled, but they have a rating system similar to movies (G, PG, R) and it was censoring yours. Somehow your face got rated R I guess…
Well you can’t just come out and say “World Domination!” out of the blue. You have to wait until it’s too late for the scrubs to turn back. Just like any good gang.
I love the comics here and the site’s pretty clean. I think the only complaint I would have concerns the comic navigation. There’s no way to quickly get to a specific page in an issue, and there are next page buttons and stuff at the very bottom of the page instead of just underneath the comic. If there’s a lot of comments it’d be better to just scroll up to the buttons above instead of down.
Since I’ve always wondered what Minions did on their off-time (After all, aren’t they just meant to be faceless cannon fodder for the Good Guys to pummel and pulverize into oblivion?), I find that I’m rather enjoying this comic….
great content, but would love to be able to have a URL I can put in my ‘daily comics’ bookmarks for each comic that leads to the most up to date comic for each story.
I can hit http://www.meetmyminion.com/?cat=12 for Wizard School, but it then makes me do another click to get to the content. Compare and contrast almost every other comic on the web.
What- how- how are you- how- HOW ARE YOU SO PROLIFIC? I’m not MAD it’s just what’s going to happen?? Is there going to be a critical mass incident or is the site just going to disappear or WHAT? I’m LOVING the fantasy one, so far, was entranced by the sci-fi, and got into it all via Minion. HOW does one spin that many plates at once? Are you on stimulants, son? Nevermind, you don’t have to tell me.
You got some kinda donation box or somesuch? I like your style. heard you sought lodging in some manner of inn made entirely of ice far off in God-only-knows tundra, forsaken by most humanity long ago. That takes gumption, kid, and you got it.
Should one ask me where my allegiances lie among the various comics provided (shockingly gratis) by the internet, I shall endorse http://www.meetmyminion.com, and shall tell them I do not do so because of the vodka I’m currently drinking or the nice voices suggesting I do so BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT’S IMPORTANT what’s important is that I am quite pleased with this website, wish to contribute, and fear for its longevity; much like one may fear for the longevity of a recently-orphaned unicorn.
Godspeed, ice-dwelling unicorn orphan. Godspeen.
Lack of individual RSS feeds is a pain in the ass. Ads are kind of annoying in a feed when you can’t slide them alongside. not including the comic and making me click to get to a page full of ads with a comic is actually cool by me, but don’t put ads in the feeds, please. And split the feeds by category. Not all of your comics were created equal.
I really am enjoying Wizard School, but can we please have a link that will take us right to the most recent update for it? I’d like to have it for my bookmarks folder, and right now it takes a few too many clicks for my midday ADD.
I’m working my way through all of your comics, and I love them so far. You are a great writer collaborating with some great artists. Just going to throw this out there – is there a place for fanart on your site, or would it at least make you smile if someone were to send some your way one day?
Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed them! If you or anyone wants to make fanart, I’m happy to create a spot here to showcase it. Post a link or e-mail it to: kneukm03@gmail.com
I would love to follow this comic, but I can’t figure out how to go to the most recent update, as you can do with Act-i-vate (http://activatecomix.com/). So I have to go to the end and try to scroll back to where I remember I left off, which is not a good way to experience a comic.
I just found this comic and ten pages in it’s my new favorite. Every time Russell says anything I read it in H. Jon Benjamin’s voice (the guy that does Sterling Archer).
You got yourself another fan. Now excuse me while I go keep reading.
Loving the artwork, from the start even. It can only get better from here.
Hehe, I like the way the story is progressing so far.
Serious quality shit here, can’t wait for the next one.
I really like it so far, especially the concept, but I’ve got one complaint to make… The art is very good but the panels are drawn too often with a character speaking but with their mouth closed. Awesome stuff dude!
Humble story with deadly implications….

Musket Drive by, It’s a must do.
But on a more serious note;
This kicks ass.
I wait with bated breath.

Got that page fixed and put in a scroll button at the bottom as well – thanks for the suggestions!
Loving it so far. Gotta second what the other readers said; I love the POV of the minions.
Keep up the good work!

Venture Brothers? You mean the show that’s a rip off of Johnny Quest? Surprised no one mentioned it.
Anyway, excellent so far. Definitely will keep checking in to see where it goes.
Not really a rip off so much as a parody
Never seen it, but put it in the Netflix queue
NOoooooooooo. Not a cliffhanger!
CLIFFHANGER FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

you got some artifacts up in your title image there
uh but otherwise yeah this looks neat

*Offers his best and most smarmy smile, complete with teeth twinkle.* Not the first time I’ve been accused of that!
Such Modesty!
*flirty eyelashes*
Just finished Issue 2. So, they’re working for some sort of supervillain version of Wikileaks? Interesting, I guess.
Well you can’t just come out and say “World Domination!” out of the blue. You have to wait until it’s too late for the scrubs to turn back. Just like any good gang.
“Just finished Issue 2. So, they’re working for some sort of supervillain version of Wikileaks? Interesting, I guess.”
… because making it interesting and at all believable that people would actually work for a psychotic sociopath isn’t hard enough already?
Gotta say i love both these comics. Cant wait to see em continued.
Seconded! Hey, will there be a ‘VillanSource’ tie in? Lolz…
How often do you update? You should more often! These comics are fantastic.

So…when are you selling 12″ tur-tor plushies again?…you ARE selling 12″ tur-tor plushies aren’t you? Please say yes >_>
That turtle gives me the whillies……
That’s why I want one! Its brilliant! Imagine hiding one with your kids stuffed animals…
I totally want a turtle like that to terrorize the younglings (cousins and such) when I have to babysit. Wicked Cool.
Since I’ve always wondered what Minions did on their off-time (After all, aren’t they just meant to be faceless cannon fodder for the Good Guys to pummel and pulverize into oblivion?), I find that I’m rather enjoying this comic….
Carry On–!
The Lydian Option is Really Good, too!
This is amazing. Loving the art and the setting.
Why is this not more popular?
Thanks! Spread the word, maybe it will be!
Pretty much my only complaint is that you can’t put out, like, ten pages a day. Of each. Because I can’t get enough.
Lydian Option is my favorite comic, and I real a LOT of comics.

Vidi, Vici, Veni.
Did you write this backwards on purpose?
I saw, I conquered, I came. Sounds like my kinda weekend.
