Cargo Cult – When American soldiers were stationed in various islands in the Pacific during World War II, natives on some of those islands saw that after strange rituals, the Americans could bring down from the skies planes loaded with weapons, food, and other gifts. The natives mimicked those rituals – trying to summon planes of their own. What if the natives were right – and their magic actually worked?
