Nope – actually planning a name change, because I must have gotten that from remembering reading that a long time ago. In the U.S. it was called “the Gripping Hand” but I looked back at my copy of it and it uses that same name for a star.
Actually, the book was called _The Mote in God’s Eye_, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Murcheson’s Eye is a red supergiant star on the other side of the Coal Sack Nebula from Earth.
Wait a minute — just got here.
Is this set in the Niven/Pournelle universe that includes the Moties? What is the “Lydian Option”? (And while we’re at it, Who’s on First?)
So nothing to do with the larry niven novel then?

_The Gripping Hand_ is the sequel to _Mote_.
Yes, I am an SF nerd.
Great comics, BTW!
True, but “the Moat Around Murcheson’s Eye” is the name of the UK release of the sequel. I am not sure why the titles differ.
Wow!

Nifty !
Great Art!
