With the Lydian Option completed, there will be some changes to the update schedule next week. You can still see Robert Rath’s art over at Wizard School, which will now be updating three times a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Wizard School will also be a continuing series for the indefinite future (ending when it starts to suck).

Cargo Cult is going to move to Thursdays, and sometime over the next few weeks there will be a new comic / illustrated poem updating on Tuesdays. Thanks to everyone for reading and hope you keep visiting!

Wait!?!?! Where is the obligatory nookie between the Hero and surviving hot chick? If no make out… then why bother saving her? I would have saved the much cool black guy… or better yet one of the awesome Asparaguys!
    (still a fantastic comic though)

in a vote between Rena and the Asparaguys, she wouldn’t stand a chance! Still, her death would not have been nearly so epic or tragic

Very nicely done, I enjoyed every pixel of it!

People are leaving comments as if there were no sequel planned, is that true? If you don’t want to pursue that storyline, you could perhaps consider distinct stories in the same universe…

I haven’t planned one for the immediate future, but I have considered both ideas (sequel or story in the same universe) and that’s definitely a possibility at some point.

I heartily recommend WESTWARD, a remarkably well drawn, character rich SCI-FI epic strip to be found at http://westwardcomic.com

The story is nearly 2 years in progress now, but a walk through the “encyclopedia” will prepare you for addiction.

Eh I was hoping for more of an ending like what’s happening in the grand scheme of things, sure they set back the Bithynian awhile, but that’s not going to stop the next war. I’m kinda disappointed in this, maybe my expectations are too high…

the shizzards are pretty persistent. that, and they are probably being aided by a vaguely orachnid/cephalopodal alien that has its own reasons for hating humans – reasons generally associated with a shortage of legs.
our heroes (and heroine) managed to mess things up for them pretty good, but it’s only a matter of time before a new generation of dogshizzards (baby biths) hatches out and replaces the lives lost. a new bithniotarch will rise, eventually, or perhaps they will learn to work without one.
that said, there’s no such thing as enough when dealing with candy, explosions, or fan service
