Yeah. The only time I can see where killing your own hostage would be of benefit is if a) you need to prove that you’re serious and b) you have… you know… OTHER HOSTAGES. I mean, killing the last hostage is just watching your leverage go up in smoke.
Had you guys considered that he may be trying the “ruin the hero’s self-esteem to the point that he gives up on life itself because he couldn’t even save his GF” ploy?
